Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and understand how you use the service. Cookies set by Rallyd are "first-party cookies"; cookies set by our third-party services are "third-party cookies."

2. Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary — Authentication (Supabase)

When you sign in, Supabase sets secure HTTP-only cookies to maintain your session. These are required for the app to function — declining them would sign you out on every page load. They cannot be opted out of while you are signed in.

  • Name pattern: sb-[project]-auth-token.*
  • Duration: Up to 30 days
  • Third party: Supabase

Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (requires consent)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how Rallyd is used — which features are most valuable, where users encounter friction, and how the product is growing. GA4 is only loaded after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner.

Functional — Google Maps (requires consent)

When a trip destination is decided, we embed a Google Maps pin so the group can see the location. The Maps Embed API may set functional cookies. The map is only loaded after you click "Accept" — if you decline, a fallback placeholder is shown instead.

Browser storage (localStorage — not cookies)

Several preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage — not cookies. These are never transmitted to our servers and are not shared with any third party:

  • rallyd_cookie_consent — your accepted or declined cookie preference
  • theme — dark or light mode
  • rallyd_help_* — dismissed help banners

No advertising cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or cross-site tracking. We do not sell your data or use it for targeted advertising.

3. Managing Your Preferences

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time. Clicking "Update preferences" below resets your choice and shows the consent banner again on the next page load.

If you are signed in, you can also manage your cookie preference from your profile page.

You can also manage cookies directly through your browser settings:
